Post subject: Azusa Canyon Report 1/25/04
Unread postPosted: Fri Aug 07, 2009 5:33 pm
Quote:
After Church today I decided to go up to Azusa Cyn and get my rig dirty... I got there at about 2:30 and discovered that they have re-instated the fee... which is now $8 Crying or Very Sad AND... they charged me the full price even though I would only be there for 1/3 of a day Think

Oh well... I got my money's worth, I got to see:

Big Dogs romping in the deep mud Very Happy

Stock rigs getting stuck Mr. Green

Stock rigs almost rolling on side hills Screwy

A Big Dog roll on a side hill and land rubber down Applause

There is a great new rock garden in one of the side canyons... the recent rains have exposed some nice boulders. I could'nt get all the way up though because some Censored Mud Womper with 44" Boggers and stock R&P was blocking it as he bogged down trying to climb rocks I would have easily crawled over Sad ... It figures, I finally find some terrain that the TurtleTruck is built for (as in NOT Mud) and a Mud Truck is in the way Rolling Eyes

The water is up quite a way from the last time I was there (about early December)... it is about 1/2 mile below the East Fork bridge, and some of the more fun side canyons are not accessable.

Hey you need to post before you go or was it just spur of the moment type thing? Sounds like there was some pretty good action there, like that is anything new. We need to set up another run there and you could show us the rockgarden you found.
