Hey Mark,
I knocked out a quick favorites icon for the spinnin' Fours BB.
It's just the club logo shrunk down and turned into an .ico
I can also give you the code to put on the webpage so users will see the ico in their favorites column when they save the BB page to their favorites list.
I'm going to Temecula tonight so I'll be back online tomorrow.
This may be all old hat stuff to you, but if you're interested, let me know! Very Happy

<LINK REL="SHORTCUT ICON" HREF="http://www.tankota.com/Tanktalk.ico">
Is the code that I use. it has to be right after the <head> and before the <title> tags on your main page. Which ever page it is that people bookmark. I think mine was the YaBB[1] page, but I don't have time to check right now and yours would be different anyway. You would of course just change the address part of the above code to reflect where you put your .ico file
I still need to send you the .ico file I made for you to try.
More later...

That sounds real cool, having the icon there once we set it up. I saw your tank and was wondering how you did that. Dancing

OK... I put the code on our main page (website main page, have not done it on the BB yet) and it works for favorites and also when I create a desktop shortcut... COOL Dancing
Thanks Tankota! Applause
I had to erase the old desktop shortcut and make sure IE was closed, but it works!
I have noticed that these ico's will go away under ? circumstances... the Pirate BB one on my desktop went away, then came back... the Tankota Talk works in favorites, but not on the desktop. Confused
I will try clearing temporary internet files... brb

Well... after clearing temp internet files (and all online content) I lost both of the ico's in favorites, but kept spinnin4s ico on my desktop. I clicked on tankota talk and the favorites ico came back, but I still can't get it to work on the desktop Brick wall ... I deleted spinnin4s favorite, closed IE and used the desktop icon to open IE, added it to favs and bingo, ico is back...
I don't get it Confused
Think
D'oh!
computers can be so frustrating! Crying or Very Sad

Yeah,
It's a known problem. I think it has all been fixed with windows XP, but I am still running win98se. You would think it could be fixed with an IE update, but I don't think Bill Gates really cares.
It's a pain, but still better than not having it at all.
I have to delete a favorite and then re-save the favorite to re-activate it.
I am going to do that with the Spinnin' 4's website now and check it out...

The Favicon is stored as a cookie in your cache, if you clear it you will delete the icon. I clear my cache all the time and loose my Favicon's every time, so I've given up on re setting them, but I am going to get this one so I can see what it looks like.

It is more than that... or at least unstable. I have them just disapear for no apparent reason.
