As a club we have the opportunity to lead the trail we established, Crowbar, at the 2006 Tin Bender Jamboree, April 21 - 23.

This run would be Saturday 4/22. The run would leave Means Dry Lake at 8AM and drive first to Soggy Dry Lake via dirt roads (about 13 miles and 30 minutes).

The Benders want us to have a minimum of 3 rigs and 6 people before they will let us lead an official run at their Jambo.

I need a firm commitment before I finalize this with the Tin Benders. Our commitment is to take responsibility for getting up to 20 rigs through the trail and safely back to camp. This is an excellent opportunity for our club to shine and show our quality!

So far I have commitments from:

Vince (in whatever rig he has at that time  )
Roger
Steve Bennett
Me (in the Hot Rod)

We need 2 more guys and 1 more rig. The people need to be ready for a long, hard, but rewarding day. The rig must be able to do this trail without slowing down the group.

Since we are still short 2 people and 1 rig from the club I have decided not to offer to lead this trail at this years Tin Bender's Jambo.

I spoke first with Steve B. and Vince and we all agree on this decision.

Several kind folks outside of the club have offered to help, but we don't want to put our reputation (personal and Club) on the line unless we know the entire team very well.

Maybe next year?

I believe I can make it as an helper right now.
So count me in to help even though I have only been there once.
