Our club will be returning to Quartzsite, Arizona on January 16th for the annual Quartzsite activities and events that includes the huge RV and Outdoor show, 100s of swap and flea markets, various vendor booths, rock and gem shows, food courts, etc. plus great scenic and historical off-roading in the surrounding desert and mountain areas. Some of us may be arriving at different times or days, but we will keep in touch and offer needed information or directions via the excellent local cell service. We'll be camping at the same location as in previous years-the La Posa Tyson Wash BLM camping area approx. 2.4 miles South of interstate 10 on the West side of highway 95, which offers spacous open dry camping areas for motorhome groups. There's a moderate camping fee which includes access to a dump station, potable water, porta-potties, and trash bins. There's also local tank trucks that drive through the campgrounds that will fill your RV water tanks or dump your gray and black tanks for a fee.
We found our small hand-held family walkie-talkies came in handy to stay in touch with one another while exploring the shows. Remember to bring fire wood and Happy Hour food to share!

Attached is a map of Quartzsite. Our camp site will be South of town on just off highway 95-take either exit 17 or 19 off the I 10 to Main Street to access highway 95. I plan to arrive around noon Friday-call my cell (562-544-5085) should you need direction help. Our BLM La Posa Tyson Wash camping area is approx. 2.4 miles South on Highway 95 on the West side. Park your rig passed the small registration building on your right and go in and register with the volunteer BLM senior citizens. Our camping area will be approx. 1/4 mile West-I will try and place a few yellow SPINNIN FOURS 4x4 CLUB signs on the graded roads to help you find our camping area. May also set up our club banner in front of our site...

Weather at Quartzsite is forecast to be a beautiful low 70s next week.

Appears we will have good attendance-10-12 families with either motorhomes or 5th wheels!

We plan to have a potluck Sunday evening-please bring a main dish, side dish or dessert to share, and don't forget Happy Hour snacks and firewood!
